PHOTOFEST
has been in business for almost 25 years. Founded in 1981 by
noted collectors and authors HOWARD MANDELBAUM (co-author of
“Screen Deco” and “Forties Screen Style”),
and the late Carlos Clarens, the PHOTOFEST image
collection reaches well into the millions and is still growing.
PHOTOFEST
is noted for its extensive FILM stills collection, which ranges
from the Birth of Cinema in the 1890s all the way to tomorrow’s
new releases, from Hollywood classics to Foreign films, from
Animation and Documentaries to the latest special effects blockbuster.
Poster art is available for thousands of titles, as well as
plenty of “behind the scenes” images and directors
on the set.
Our MUSIC
files cover rock, jazz, country, blues, classical, and everything
in between (including rap and the latest musical artists).
Our comprehensive
PERFORMING ARTS collection features over 100 years of stage
productions, including drama, comedy, the works of Shakespeare,
and almost every major Broadway musical – it represents
the most important figures in the American theatre of the 20th
Century. From modern dance, to opera and ballet, the PHOTOFEST
archive can provide you with a wide range of performers,
artists, and productions.
The collection
contains images from the early days of TELEVISION to what’s
on right now, as well as a large sampling of vintage RADIO shows,
HISTORICAL images, SPORTS figures, and PERSONALITIES.
PHOTOFEST
images have appeared in thousands of books, TV bios and historical
programs, documentaries, and major magazines and newspapers.
We also provide stills for film calendars, festival programs,
and web use. International clients are welcome.
